I design, make and sell wooden toys. Mostly trucks, forklifts and earthmovers. Direct in Titahi Bay or courier NZ only. The following is a quote by John Ruskin, one of the great Victorians, he was an artist, scientist, poet, environmentalist, philosopher, and, importantly in this context, the pre-eminent art critic of his time. “There is hardly anything in the world that some man cannot make a little worse and a little cheaper, and the people who consider price only are this man’s lawful prey.” All my work is top quality, to the best of my abilities, all income earned with my handwork is used to buy more materials and tools, to enable donations of my work to the Cancer Society and the Child Cancer Foundation to continue. The only profit to me, is the enjoyment in using my time to make things and helping people. If you think my prices are too high, I have no problem with you finding something cheaper elsewhere.. Most of my toys are painted, (unless indicated otherwise.) I do not believe in varnishing toys to match furniture because I know children appreciate bright colours and my designs put kids first. I make extensive use of glue and wood screws. I only use a few nails to hold parts while gluing.
I prefer to sell direct to my customers, and they can see my stock here in Titahi Bay. Payment needs to be in cash, otherwise a cheque which needs to be cleared by my bank prior to delivery. Electronic Funds transfer by arrangement. |
