The undermining of the name of Jesus has come fully into fruition now with bold and blatant statements being banded around Protestant/Evangelical circles in order to effect their "sacred name" cause, with far less subtleties from whence it first commenced infiltrating Christendom with its poison.  Moreover, it is quite amazing now how all this heresy is being done so openly, with much ease and very little opposition from the mainstream, while it adds impetus to the 'great apostasy' coming upon believers from all quarters.

Following shortly is an incredible statement made by Jacob Prasch of Moriel Ministries on his website.  To me, if his fellow associates have to live up to the name they have coined for their network ...  aka "discernment ministries", then it is going to be interesting to see how they will be dealing with this new twist, along with their friend and colleague JP, who together with him advance their "discernment" cause.  Below is the evidence and total denial of the name above all names:

"The Jewish Jesus was called Rabbi Yeshua bar Josef Ha Notzri.  His name was not Jesus Christ, it was Rabbi Yeshua bar Josef of Nazareth." (emphasis mine)

The fact of the matter is, if our Lord's name was not Jesus (the English rendering of the Greek) then we no longer have a universal Bible that we can hold in our hand, and quote from, as God's inspired and trusted word.  Furthermore, we would have to trust mans alternative of trained and skilled scholarship to be our final authority in the end, replacing our once reliable Bible.  Also, verses like 1 John 4:3 would become a real problem for a start ...

"And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God".

Not to forget to mention, from the very words of Jesus of Nazareth Himself, about His followers having to avoid the calling of official religious titles, Matt. 23:8 ...

"But be not ye called Rabbi".

Firstly, a statement ...  Jesus never called Himself Rabbi in scripture, only man did which is only recorded four times in the NT and only found in the book of John (1:38, 49; 3:2 & 6:25).

Secondly, a question ...  how is the most precious and highest name there in heaven and upon earth, spelt in the holy Book?  Is it not  J E S U S  C H R I S T  ?  No wonder both Matthew 1:21 and 1:25 give His full name CAPITALS, along with Luke 1:31 and 2:21!  Moreover, LORD (found throughout the entire Bible on deity) is the title before Jesus not Rabbi!  Prove me wrong please, from THE Bible?

It has always been inherent with Bible believers that the name Jesus is holy and the highest name there is among names, along with the fundamental belief the New Testament was originally penned in Greek with the New Testament itself bearing witness to this very fact, clearly showing the Aramaic also being interpreted into the Greek rendering, as John 1:41 being just one occasion out of a few ...

"We have found the Messias (Hebraic), which is, being interpreted, the Christ (Greek)."

This of course verifies and confirms that the cross spelt the end of Hebraic domination of the scriptures as they became universalized by the fact that the cross cancelled out the partition separating Jew from Greek, along with the fact the Spirit of God was poured out upon on ALL flesh (not just one selective ethnic group) shortly after the renting of the veil in the holiest of holies in the temple at Jerusalem (that was also condemned by Jesus for judgement) for ALL to enter into.  Hence ...  (some centuries later after the closing of the Dark Ages) the way was paved for the completion of a holy inspired Bible in English based on the Hebrew Old Testament, as well as the Greek New Testament!  1 John 5:13 reinforcing this truth:

"These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God."

If the New Testament is not originally based on Greek then the name of our Lord Jesus was and is wrong, which would in turn open up a can of worms and work favourably into the hands of the HR advocates.  If the New Testament was written in Greek then the above statement by Moriel is wrong ...  end of story!

Well, not quite, if one goes out to correct the HR notion with the conviction the Holy Bible is completely sound and profitable for doctrine, reprove and correction.  Here's how it apparently backfires:

If a person with biblically based correction comes along and exposes a brother like the above holding onto damaging heresies, look out, he could be in for a lashing.  Particularly if the person in question holds his doctrines frowardly and is full of self-defence or self-conceit.  Furthermore, if this brother in error is unrepentant and will not back down from his folly, he will (after ignorantly failing to verify his teaching scripturally) be left with no other alternative than to go past attacking just this person's correction (who came to him with concern and good will) but onto attacking this person's name, character and reputation in general, along with undermining the person's credibility.

Amazing accusations indeed!  "Cultist" is just one branding he uses more than once to stigmatize his opponents!  Whattabout this couple of outlandish statements he conjures up to disgrace those who outwardly refute his HR doctrine, that they "can be operationally compared to small time gangsters", and the blatant and all out lie they "do no evangelism" ...  and so on ...?  Please read on:

There is no end to the accusations, slurs and insinuations from this site towards someone who opposes its HR teachings, liked being blamed for using anti Semitic discredits, or being branded "charlatan and false brethren" just because someone endorses the Holy Bible as the word of God and believe:

This discrediting has reached new heights towards JP's opponents, by stigmatizing them as joining along side the gay community, anti-Semitic and armed militia patriot groups.  Or to slurred as aligning with a pro-homosexual cause, because he or she may simply believe the Authorized Bible is inspired?  Is this not incredible?  Is this not totally absurd?

THE DEATH OF REASON

All this strawman building and personal insults being made to the highest degree, just because someone dared not to go along with the Hebraic Roots Movement's attack on the holy name of our Lord Jesus Christ, and resist the end time assault on the authenticity of the Greek New Testament.  How is this a crime?  How is this a shame?  In addition, what documented evidence does this man use to back up his claim that King James was a drunken, cruel, pervert who sodomized little boys (I am still waiting for verification here, after my first request about seven years ago)? Moreover, why is there not an outcry or rebuke that can be heard from other members of the Body of Christ who claim to follow the Bible as well as from his discernment and apologetic ministry associates?  Why are we waaaiting????

Sound doctrine/Sound advice (my response to the above nonsense)

This section is not only an exposé of the above nonsense but a challenge to men who are suppose to be noble and trustworthy men of righteousness and integrity, who will not turn a blind eye to this unfounded slander.  The ball is now in their court ...  which means it will be a matter of facing the truth and rejecting error, or being handed over to (more) delusion.  There is simply NOW no middle ground of comfort and convenience.  Mr. Jacob (Yacov) Prasch has got a lot to answer for.  My bible says (Pr. 10:18):
