The Three Blows
Dismantling the three ho's of the Jolly Season
Three cheers for who!?
Ho, ho, ho ... eating, drinking, and making merry! 'Tis the three ho's of the Jolly Season! Contrary to this following verse, that has nothing absolutely to do with Santa Claus by the way:
Is. 55:1. Ho, every one that thirsteth, come ye to the waters, and he that hath no money; come ye, buy, and eat; yea, come, buy wine and milk without money and without price.
With Jesus there are three chief ho's (reasons to be merry) when we come to Him. One, we can come (freely). Two, we can buy (freely). And three, we can eat (freely). On any occasion. Without money and without price. Meaning ... His gifts are free and are therefore not a commercialized commodity to be sold or promoted. Nor are they conjured up through a spirit of obligation, to ease the givers conscience. Hence, it makes sense why Paul mentioned "God loveth a cheerful giver."
Moreover, this is nothing to do with a "special" day by the way, but a daily attitude.
Woe and ho
Question: Is the Jesus of Christmas the Jesus of the Bible? Answer: Categorically and emphatically ... NO! The reason is very simple:
There are two Jesus' in the Bible. Right!? One is the scriptural Jesus ... who happens to be the true historical Saviour! The other is the world's Jesus ... the invented, manufactured replacement! 2 Cor. 11:4! Right!?
The fact of the matter is, the Jesus of scripture is a stumbling block to the world. Whereas the other Jesus, is a popular and commendable Jesus. This is the difference between worshiping and serving Jesus as God in the flesh (who is both divine and man at the same time) than acknowledging the convenient, glossed up and commercialized dude.
Therefore, it is of no surprise that the question of Jesus' divinity and miracles pop up, from time to time, on the mainstream media (old methods being recycled for the present trend, with the same old diversionary tactics), as this present system is under control of the prince of this world. The one who opposes the purposes of God. Just as it is no surprise the Devil has always thrown up heaps of smokescreens throughout the last 2000 years, in presenting another Jesus and another gospel (and another spirit), so the real one would be obscured:
Another Jesus ... the universal fake, watered down, effeminate, who suits all!
Another gospel ... the marketable message that comes claiming peace and good will to all ... without the necessity of repentance towards God and biblical separation from the world.
Another spirit... the seasonal warm fussy and feel-good vibe, for all to embrace. While instead of being in agreement and backing the scriptures, this spirit is found contrary and in conflict with the scriptures!
Apostates will always preach Christ in pretense. But do we, and should we, really care? Truth of the matter .... our Saviour cannot ever be ignored! Whether Christ is preached in pretense or truth, like Paul, we can rejoice ... as His name, His Person, His identity, and His record, cannot be ignored! Reason ... Jesus is a biblical, true, historical fact! Therefore, spiritual smokescreens and diversions should not throw or divert us. In fact, to be party to the spirit of this apostasy, of this other Jesus, is choosing the popular wide road. We'll stick to the narrow road. For as the scriptures say, "we can do nothing against the truth, but for the truth."
Are you still in the spirit?
Okay ... which spirit!?
Following are three sound biblical reasons (three woes for the three false ho's) why true believers cannot honour or be party to the Spirit of Christ-mass. However, if a babe in Christ is caught up in "the day" thing, then that's their prerogative! I do not condemn nor despise (but definitely don't encourage) someone who is just beginning out in his, or her, pilgrimage, and (at this stage in their walk) happens to view certain days as still being of more importance to other days.
Hopefully, I am speaking to those who are now desiring the meat of the word and moving away from being fed the bottle. If Christians want to bring 'the milk of human kindness' of Christ-mass into their homes (or any other abomination into 'thine house'), that's their business! After all, they are answerable to God for themselves. Not to me nor to you. We choose not to, due to the following points. While admonishing others to ignore tradition for tradition's sake, as looking to the full counsel of God (go on - just for once!!) ... the Holy Scriptures:
Ho to woe number one - The foundation of Christ Mass crumblesIn other words, the end does not justify the means in God's equation! Furthermore, just to show how shaky and weak the justification of christianizing this festival goes (with the advent of global communications, fingertip knowledge and the internet), everyone now knows that it goes back millenniums, before Jesus' birth, even to the date of a pagan god's birth?
Fact: Matt. 7:26 ... if the foundations are weak, then so is the building!
Therefore, who can now argue this is not an established fact?
Although Paul may have rejoiced because Christ was being preached in pretence, this does not mean he endorsed it. Nor approved of the reason for it. He was only glad Jesus could not be ignored and had to be acknowledged someway by the world, as well as by its religious apostates. This reinforces His existence by the way! Meaning we'd better check Him out rather than be left without excuse, and be found wanting.
"Hear ye this, O house of Jacob, which are called by the name of Israel, and are come forth out of the waters of Judah, which swear by the name of the LORD, and make mention of the God of Israel, but not in truth, nor in righteousness."
Yes, God's OT children did make reference and make mention of Him ... but not in truth, nor in righteousness, as the scriptures clearly and undeniably, point out.
Hence the cheesy slogans: "Merry Christmas!" "He's the reason for the season!" "Let's put Christ back into Christmas!"
Very weak and extremely feeble supersessions wouldn't you say? F'instance ... how can Christ be put back into Christmas if He was never there in the first place?
Recapping again, we have just read a verse revealing how Israel were missing the mark because, by using God's name and making mentioning of Him, they did not do so in righteousness and truth. Did you get that!? They missed it! The Bride of Christ can miss it too if she does not heed the same warning. This is why we are commanded by scripture to "put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness." There is simply no other way we can make it, without righteousness and truth!
Therefore, the question we need to honestly ask ourselves is ... which foundation is Christ Mass built on? Or does it have anything to do at all, with righteousness and truth?
Of course we should already know the answer to this, if we are confessing Bible believers. As Christ Mass is not built on a foundation of righteousness but on open pagan idolatry. Just as it is not built on truth but on a lie.
The lie: A false God ... sun worship. A false Christ ... Baal/Tammuz. A false gospel ... universal salvation. A false spirit ... counterfeiting or opposing the Spirit of truth. A false date ... the winter solstice (as Christ was born in the warm season). As well as: Fables ... biblical stories taken out of context and mixed with myth.
Therefore, nothing about Christ Mass is holy or true! Christ Mass has not been constructed on righteousness and truth, but on open mythology and "Christian" pretence. Clearly meaning, Christ Mass is not based on the scriptural Jesus but on an invented one. Being reminded by the New Testament ... "if the (true) foundations be destroyed, what can the righteous do?" Simply because, the word of God (the record of the Lord Jesus Christ) is the true believers foundation. 1 Cor. 3:11:
"For other foundation can no man lay than that is laid, which is Jesus Christ."
Therefore, how can anyone add to Jesus ... the beginning and the end, as well as the author and finisher of our faith? Additionally, if this true foundation is destroyed then true believers might as well "take thine ease, eat, drink, and be merry" ... "for to morrow we die."
However, if this Babylonian system (what the world produces and demands devotion to, on certain orchestrated dates) is destroyed (as Rev. 14:8 - which is the ground work of Christ Mass) then it would have no bearing on our faith whatsoever. It is not its author. Neither is its finisher. While it has absolutely nothing to do with our faith ... the faith! Moreover, simply because, as the scriptures declare ... "the foundation of God standeth sure, having this seal, The Lord knoweth them that are his."
Those that are His are those who build on no other foundation except the one laid already. That happens to be laid down before the foundation of the earth ... Christ Jesus our Lord. Who is King of a kingdom that cannot be shaken. That cometh not with observation. That is only found within you.
Christ Mass is an abomination to God. It is merely built on a wrong foundation of human fables, with the pretence it is "Christian". This presents a false Christ, a false spirit, and a watered down gospel. Making sinners comfortable about their godless lifestyle in the process. While being inoculated against the truth, by participating in christianized tradition, who see no need for repentance towards a holy God.
Meaning, Christ Mass is an outward observation. Built on a shaky foundation. That will be demolished at His appearing. As it is totally superfluous to our faith. Moreover, because Christ Mass is built upon a wrong foundation, this should be adequate proof within itself, that it cannot be called Christian. Nor bear the holy name of Christ in any way. Let alone be celebrated as such.
Ho to woe number two - The root of Christmas is struck a blowThe scriptures say in 1 Peter 1:23 in regards to the remnant; "Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever."
Fact: Romans 11:16 ... if the root be holy, so are the branches.
If our salvation is based on the word of God being mixed (leavened/polluted) in any way, then our salvation would not be true, as it would be based on mans tainted religious values. Making us acceptable to the world, but not to God, on the grounds of His righteousness. You can argue all you like with me, but you can never argue with God, our unshakable Rock, who is both holy and requires holiness. Understanding, it is only by His holy Son Jesus, as being the only grounds we can become acceptable to a holy God.
Understanding this fact also: Christ Mass is from an unholy root! Pre Church ... from Babylon (openly pagan)! Post church ... from Rome (under a "Christian" guise)! Meaning, "if the root be unholy, then so are its branches"! End of story!!
Still want to argue? Then take it up with the Author, who endorsed and inspired Romans 11:16 and 1 Peter 1:23, as well as the rest of the Holy Bible!
The branches of the Church of Rome are also metaphorically her Daughters (the Protestant denominations). Who broke away from her during the Reformation. However, unfortunately, who never cut all the unholy cords that linked them to her. The most common of these cords being the Mass of Christ. Or Christ Mass.
As the many folk now know (both religious and secular), the root of the 25th of December is rooted way back in ancient Babylon for the annual winter solstice. The birthday of Tammuz (Baal) the sungod. Yes, pagan to the core! Moreover, scripture forbids the acknowledgment of Tammuz (Ezk. 8:14) whether he wears a red suit with woolly hair, or a white one with long hair! Or whether he rides a sleigh in splendour, or a white horse in grandeur! Costumes, image, and presentation are not important here, as they only serve as glossy covers. Who, or what is behind the whole rigmarole is what is important here. Simply because John made it very clear in 1 John 2:21, "that no lie is of the truth"!
Thank about that ... NO LIE IS OF THE TRUTH!!! Who is the truth? Did not Jesus claim Himself to be THE TRUTH!? Therefore, to be in Him (or for Him to be in you) you must be outside of lies in every sense and form. Is Christ Mass a lie? Or is it the truth? You know .... the real truth! I know Jesus is!
Furthermore, what does Proverbs. 22:28 say?:
"Remove not the ancient landmark, which thy fathers have set."
What did the (pre American) Pilgrim fathers (as they were known as) believe? What did they say regarding celebrating the 25th of December? What did the Puritans believe? The complete opposite of what is accepted today as the mainstream norm! Even if is not invented by Coca Cola in the late ninetieth century. Or pushed by the multi corp department stores and outlet chains.
Let's look at the very foundations of the US of A, as these "godly" blokes were supposed to be laying the foundation for what the US believes and now celebrates, and exports to the world: For many years after the so-called Pilgrim fathers arrived on the Mayflower, anyone in New England who observed the outlawed Christ Mass were fined. What changed? The word of God or the traditions of the people? Moreover, what were these 'changed' traditions based on? They were not certainly based on the written word of God, were they?
Because this is now common fact, as well as being taught implicitly and openly by society as a whole in regards to its paganistic origin, Christ Mass is presently justified as being Christianized for the last 100 and so years only. As it is now a good excuse (as well as a justification for its existence) to make it a witness or an acknowledgment of Christ, to the world. The notion now being, "Isn't it lovely the world is now celebrating Jesus along with the "Christian" world?"
In other words, according to this notion, God has taken something unholy and made it holy. He has taken something pagan and unpaganized it. He has taken something unclean and made it clean. However, would God deny Himself like this? Would the Lord, who made heaven and earth, stoop this low and accommodate our traditions and mere reasoning, as well as our sickly and ungodly appetite to loosely carouse and make merry in license and self gratification? Furthermore, is this spirit scriptural and in harmony with our Makers divine principles? Or has God changed His mind? Is. 5:20:
"Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!"
Just a wee reminder: From scripture we can see clearly the Lord abideth faithful and cannot deny himself. We also see "He cannot lie" and "changeth not" and "is the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever." Therefore, who is the fickle representative and participator in this instance? As always ... Him or Christendom? Who is the one who keeps changing their mind? The mainstream Church may have changed its stance over the last dozen decades or so. But God hasn't moved one iota. Who says ... "meddle not with them that are given to change."
The choice ... the contemporary "Jesus" or the one who changeth not?
"Do not err, my beloved brethren. Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning."
If Christ Mass is a good and perfect gift, then it originated from above and can in no way, be of pagan origin or content, at all. End of debate!
Undeniably, we all now know through common knowledge this is not the case, but has been imported or borrowed from Babylon. The scriptures say "if the root be holy, so are the branches." Therefore, the opposite would also be true ... "if the root be unholy, then so are the branches."
A good tree cannot produce rotten branches but only a bad tree can or will. This is a scriptural principle, while the God who declared it, and inspired it to be recorded as holy scripture, changeth not. Therefore, we can say emphatically, because Christ Mass is a rotten root, it can only produce rotten branches. Then in turn, produce rotten fruit. That will, in the end, be cut off by the faithful husbandman Himself. Therefore, we can also say, if God has chosen to sanctify Christ Mass to bring honour to His Name, He would then be denying Himself through denying His word! Is God a liar? Who says ... "Remove not the old landmark"!
What is 'the old landmark' scripture speaks of? It is why Christ Mass was simply another workday for most people in New England, until well into the 19th century. Simply because, to them, the 25th of December was simply a pagan holiday. The reason why puritan writers and Protestantism in general at the time, rejected Christ Mass. Wanting, instead of conforming, to keep the old landmark for the preservation of their community (the old scriptural boundaries) by placing the written word of God above tradition and not on a par with it. Sure, it may not have had anything to do with the kingdom of God and living under the 'better covenant'. However, this knowledge does prove the durability and steadfastness of the scriptures, and the contradiction of the age we live in.
Who would agree that 'the old landmark' has been removed and been replaced with new, updated ideas, to suit the times and accommodate mans rebellion against God's word, while taking the sting out of the gospel at the same time? Ezra 8:28:
"And I said unto them, Ye are holy unto the LORD; the vessels are holy also"!
If we are to be holy unto the LORD, then so are the vessels! If we are to be holy, then our message, principles, life and conveyance of these things, are to be holy unto the LORD also! How can we argue with such clear, straight and simple commands given by God, and recorded for our heeding?
Right or wrong? The Lord never purifies leaven but wants it purged out of us (1 Cor. 5:7)! He never cleanses sin but cleanseth us from all sin (1 Jn, 1:7)! If the root be unholy, then it is ready for the axe and fit for the fire, according to scripture (Luke. 3:9)! The Lord would never sanctify something pagan! Who says, learn not their ways (Jer. 10:2)! Nor be like unto them (Ps. 143:7)! The Lord never deals with imitations or substitutes. His ways are perfect. If the root be holy, then so are the branches! If the root be unholy, then cut it off! If the origin of Christ-mass is pagan, then so is its outcome! No matter how cultured, trendy, hi tech, or Westernized it appears. Neither, no matter how justified it is to man (Luke 16:15)!
Got the axe ready?
Ho to woe number three - The name of Christ-Mass exposed
Jesus said: "Ye are they which justify yourselves before men; but God knoweth your hearts: for that which is highly esteemed among men (Christ Mass being the biggie of course!) is an abomination in the sight of God."
Fact: Ezk. 20: 9,14, 22, 44 ... if the name be in question, then so is its substance:
Which is the most popular gospel? The gospel of forsaking all, for another kingdom? Or the gospel of peace and good will to all men, because of the 25th of December? Moreover, which is most highly esteemed of man? Those who lift up the crucified Jesus each day, by their lives and actions, by taking up their own cross to follow Him? Or those collaborating with the world, decorating and celebrating the manger scene once a year, on the sun god's birthday?
Last of all ... which cross was Paul referring to? Jesus suffering and dying on a splintery, crude, cut down tree, as a total and finished atonement for our sins? Or the act of embracing and erecting a decorated glorified (dead) tree, as a new way of celebration unto the Son of God? Meaning, can 'the (dead) tree' be glossed up? Or does it remain a cursed thing, as the New Testament reinstates? Gal. 6:14:
"But God forbid that I should glory, save in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom the world is crucified unto me, and I unto the world."
Many use Romans 14: 5-6 as an excuse to justify Christ Mass, not realizing they are taking these two verses out of context:
"One man esteemeth one day above another: another esteemeth every day alike. Let every man be fully persuaded in his own mind. He that regardeth the day, regardeth it unto the Lord; and he that regardeth not the day, to the Lord he doth not regard it. He that eateth, eateth to the Lord, for he giveth God thanks; and he that eateth not, to the Lord he eateth not, and giveth God thanks."
Let's rightly divide, shall we? If you start at the beginning of this chapter you can see what Paul was getting at:
"Him that is weak in the faith receive ye, but not to doubtful disputations."
In other words, this portion of scripture is to do with freedom of expressed opinion. Meaning (by paraphrasing the passages), "Respect those who are just babes in Christ. Understanding they have just started out in their new walk, while having limited revelation!" "Allow them space to grow, while not stifling their thinking!" Because, as Verse 3:
"Let not him that eateth despise him that eateth not; and let not him which eateth not judge him that eateth: for God hath received him (that is - him 'that is weak in the faith')."
However, if the person with "restricted" opinion and limited revelation, happens to make a doctrine out of his view later upon reaching maturity (1 Tim. 4:3 ... "commanding to abstain from meats, which God hath created to be received with thanksgiving of them which believe and know the truth") then it would be a different story, and a brand new ball game, as there would be room for biblical correction. Or need for rebuking.
The reason? Paul would now view the opinion as having now switched position to doctrine, going beyond grace to bondage. While in this instance, the doctrine here would be referred to as" the doctrines of devils".
This is why once a person comes to maturity in Christ, they view everydayas the same in importance, and not just 'certain days'. Just as they would see eating 'certain foods' as not polluting or defiling the heart (Mk. 7:19) , while being free to see all as clean and all days the same, avoiding setting boundaries and bondage for others, outside the word.
In Gal. 4: 9-10, Paul is speaking to mature men:
"But now, after that ye have known God, or rather are known of God, how turn ye again to the weak and beggarly elements, whereunto ye desire again to be in bondage? Ye observe days, and months, and times, and years."
Here were mature saints, who had got free through remaining in the truth, who were no longer remaining in the truth, having began in the Spirit but now going back to walking in the flesh and bondage, through now placing importance back on certain days.
Also, we must take into consideration, Paul was referring to certain Jewish holy days (holidays) here. Not pagan (heathen) special days. Meaning, these Jewish special days could be more justified as being scriptural, than the pagan counterparts today, as they were once of relevance under the Biblical 'old covenant', but now made obsolete through the cross. Remembering, the pagan days were introduced later. As the Church and Roman State began to emerge, mixing the true faith with unbiblical observances, instead of remaining separate. The chief of all abominations was the incorporation of Tammuz worship (Baal the sungod). Observed by Rome as Jupiter. Before being "christianized" as "Jesus". Along with the pagan sacred days. Hence ... Christ's Mass! This is now universal and accepted by Evangelicals as well as Roman Catholics, Protestants, Byzantines, and the non-Christian world together. One happy family, with one happy common denominator, would you not say? A lovely ecumenical pose! Certainly not unity in truth (Jn. 17: 16-21)! Or building our faith on righteousness and truth, as mentioned earlier!
However, the name Christmas (Christ's Mass) in itself, is an abomination to the one holy God and the Holy One of Israel (Jesus), as it should also be to His 'called out' people. Who not only recognize its originated contents as pagan and vile, but look fully past the contemporary gloss and paraphernalia, that's masquerading today under the name "Christian".
The bottom line ... Christ and Mass do not mix! What Christ Mass is really saying, is Christ (the Saviour - the hollowed name of God) blending in with the Roman Mass (a pagan form of idolatry), can be celebrated by all, on the birthday of a false god. This basically means, in the truest sense, spelling it out as clear as I can:
Christ + Mass = mixture.
The Bible + (additional) tradition = error.
'JESUS Plus' cancels out JESUS!
Would Christ take Himself down like this? Would He allow His Name, which is to be hallowed throughout the earth, to be tainted like this? Would He allow Himself to be part and parcel to an oxymoron called Christ Mass (Christmas)?
Here's a wee reminder:
The Mass, by the way, is to do with Jesus being re-crucified as the Roman Catholic Church's victim every time it is held. This is basically where the priest has the authority to bring Christ down out of heaven again (and again) and change Him into a wee biscuit. That's a small cookie, to be eaten by each individual in the congregation. This way they are (unbeknowningly) cannibalistically partaking of God. Consuming Him in bits and pieces. Whereas, the scriptures reveal we are partaking of God (feeding upon Jesus - the true bread of life; Jn. 6: 31-63) when we are being obedient to and living by His every word (Luke. 4:4). Immensely simple, really!!
Therefore , Christ Mass must be the chief Mass of them all, by unifying even the non Catholic world to Her cause, against the scripture, that declares Jesus suffered and died ONCE and FOR ALL.
If true Christians are aware of this, and profess to be Bible followers, they should in no way have anything to do with this Mass above every other mass. The name Christ-mass (the Christian/pagan mixture) should be utterly repugnant to them. Christ (God's saviour) and Mass (the Roman sacrificial system) are not compatible and cancel each other out (here it is - a clear, religious oxymoron, busted!). The traditions of man has combined them both (the holy and the profane) so our precious Saviour would become a non offence to both the world and luke warm Christians together, making the cross ineffective to salvation, and a non threat to the Devil and his kingdom.
The name Christ-mass should be a witness against itself. As it is not a legitimate Christian name nor celebration. But Satan's disguise, masquerading as "Christian", so the elect too would be deceived, if it were possible.
In the Old Testament, Caleb made it because he was of another spirit and followed the Lord fully (Num. 14:24). It is all to do with what spirit one chooses to be in during these last days ... the Spirit of God or the spirit of the world (1 Cor. 2:12)? The Spirit of truth or the spirit of X Mass?
Get this!! It is VERY important (Rom. 8:9) ... "Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his."
