The Subtle War

who subvert whole houses, teaching things which they ought not

Which rendering?

In order for man to subtly switch the final authority in the Holy Book to himself, one of the cleverest ways to do this is to play with words.  If just one word in the scriptures could be wrong, which would render our foundation flawed, who would get the final say in the end?  The scholar "above" the written word of course!  Therefore, all the "cranks" and all my "dogmatic" associates were right after all.  They were not trying to influence me to correct the Bible after all, but to allow it correct me.  Sound advice with sound doctrine.

Following, I have chosen just a few words out of many (for lack of time and space) that have been used to undermine the scriptures, justifying a human agency, replacing the sole agency of the Holy Ghost as the one who leads us into all truth.

Yes, we could go on and on with these justifications, all because man listens to man instead of listening to God direct, through personal conviction and revelation from the scripture.  Proving, there are not many Bereans today, but many Nicolaitans.  How many accentuate the lovey-dovey by over emphasizing the scriptures on "love", ignoring or soft peddling the gutsy scriptures warning about being deceived and not rightly dividing the word of God?  Or using the name of Jesus as a justification that such deceit or error is of the Lord:

You might say, "Brother, you're got to be joking!"  No, I am not in any sense of the word.  Check it out yourself!  Go on ...  a little study is not going to make you into an intectual!  It is not hard to see now is it ,that in these particular books this has got nothing to do with severing false brethren from fellowship which Paul encouraged us to do, but literal castration!  Self castration!  Self mutilation!  These books are getting sicker and why would you want to use them!?

Biblical consecration comes by setting your affections on Christ, not by castrating yourself, or any other method of flagellation, self-mutilation, or penance.  Is it surprising the source of these books go way back to a revisionist in Alexandra called Origin not long after the NT was penned.  And what did Origin do to himself?  Yes, he castrated himself.  Read on please!

The Alexandrian Cult

Jer. 8:8 ... "the pen of the scribes is in vain."

The Alexandrian Cult is basically the justification of correcting the word, instead of allowing the word to correct us.  Unlike the Bereans, "in that they received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so", the AC turns over every loose stone it can find to trip up the Bible believer, because it is not out to support the Bible at all (while feigning that it is) but question it with the notion, "Hath God said"!

Do you know what this means?  It means when the Bereans received the word with "all readiness of mind" given by the Apostles, the scriptures (the written word) were searched continually as their final, last, and conclusive backup in everything.  Full stop!  Period!  End of story!  Basically, they were not questioning God at all, but questioning "the mighty" apostles ...  flesh and blood in other words.  Wise counsel, would you not say?

Origin was a scholar from the second to largest city in the then known world called Alexandra, the academic/scholarly centre of the then known world.  Because he believed in universal salvation and that Jesus was a created being (just like most modernists, new agers and cultists do), he thought he would correct God's word to conform to his own set of beliefs.  One belief was trying to achieve holiness by castrating himself, which match his off-spring (as previously mentioned)  ...  the modern versions!

Throughout history like minded scholars, scribes and religious leaders have based their opinions on his corrupt manuscripts, and have used them (instead of winning people to Christ) to correct the biblical scripts, and re-educate their students with their watered down distorted theology.  This of course justifies their position and rank as paid professionals, allowing them to exist in a comfortable, paid, livelihood.

Therefore, to really understand your Bible, you have to unwittingly come under the Alexandrian spirit by using these so-called experts to interpret for you, instead of the Holy Spirit, the Spirit of truth, who leads us into all truthFurthermore, you could go to Bible College to learn their garb.  In turn, you too could reach their status, and be trained in how to destroy peoples faith in God's word.  Then your students in turn, as your predecessors, could become an authority like yourself (instead of God's final authority the Bible), professionally employed, with titles before and after your name.

Get the drift?  This is the vicious circle of Cemetery (whoops!!) I mean Seminary, known as the Alexandrian Cult.  This is looking to men with credentials, because Jesus' word doesn't appear to be qualified enough.  Look, I know there are some institutions around, where the motive of sincere men is to train up others in defending Gods word.  However, when it comes to abusing your position to led others astray, God has some very harsh things to say:

...  "it were better for him like a millstone were hanged about his neck, and that he were drowned in the depth of the sea."

The same judgement likened unto Babylon.  Because they are one and the same.  God's answer:  "These things have I written unto you concerning them that seduce you.  But the anointing which ye have received of him (Christ) abideth in you, and ye need not that any man teach you".  Simply because the Holy Bible is not of any private (institutional) interpretation.  Therefore, which spirit (as followers of Christ) are we going to be subject to ...  Berean or Alexandrian?

"But Jesus said to those who believed, If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed"!
