After BGS went to RAF Halton as an apprentice but left after graduation.
Worked in aircraft industry for various companies on such aircraft as Comet4, Harrier, Hunter, Victor. In 1967 joined BOAC(British Airways) as a ground engineer on Boeing 707s. Became a flight engineer transferring to 747s in 1977.
Retired 1992. Then obtained USA FAA licenses as a Pilot, Flight Engineer and maintenance Airframe & Powerplant.
Has continued to fly with various US companies and at present (Mar 03) flying Boeing 747s for a cargo company. To date has accumulated about 11,000 hours of flying.
Lives with his wife between Tampa and Orlando, Florida about 40 minutes from Mickey Mouse's HQ. Active in the general aviation scene and owns a Cessna 172
