System Requirements

Operating System: Any version of Windows from 98 up.

There should be nothing in the application that requires anything more advanced than Windows 95 - but since I don't have a Windows 95 machine with which to test, the application is only expected to work with Windows 98 and up.

My own testing of the nicheSQLTool suite occurs on Windows 98 and Windows XP SP2. If you have success (or not) with using the suite on other variants of Windows, please let me know.

Memory: Uses just a few MiB of memory when running.

Licensing

This application is shareware - after a reasonable period of evalutation, you are expected to either register the suite or remove it from your system.

Overview of nicheSQLtool

The nicheSQLtool suite has a simple premise - to eliminate tedious manual reformatting of SQL, so that you may concentrate on the meaning, instead of the presentation.

For the initial public release of the nicheSQL Tool Suite (coming soon), there will be two included applications.

SQLNotepad sits out of the way in your system tray until you're viewing some SQL that needs formatting. When required, the SQL is laid out (in line your own preferences) with just a couple of clicks.

To allow you to customise the tool to more closely format SQL in just the way that you like it, the various styles are not built into the application. They are kept externally in layout files that you can customise using the included FormatEditor application.
