Synopsis

( b. 29 Dec 1851 ) He married Gioseffa Valentina De Rigo Cromaro ( b. 18 Jan 1854) on the 26 June 1875in Casamazzagno in the Dolomites Comelico Superiore Belluno Italy. They had 5 children; Liberia 1878 -- Osvaldo jnr 1880 -- Sante 1881 -- Giuseppe 1887, and the youngest my Father Luigi Francesco Zanderigo.Iona b. 1895, courted & married Silvia Tavan b. 1903 in Casamazzagnoon the 4 February 1928. I, Mauro Osvaldo Zanderigo.Iona was born on the 5 Nov 1928. On the 17 January 1929 wethree emigrated, boarding the S.S. Orsova setting sail from Naples for New Zealand, and settled in the city of Auckland. Not long after their arrival Luigi & Silvia were to experience the Great World Depression set in. It was also the beginning of the Zanderigo Dynasty in New Zealand. The descendands of Osvaldo & Gioseffa number some 80 many of whom live in Auckland New Zealand, some in Sydney & Canberra Australia. |
