However I did manage to shoot a
few Dic-Dics ( Fully grown they are the same size as Bambie and look much the same) and a
few deer to cook in the pot. It was very much a four wheel adventure with one of the guys
smacking his nose on the seat in front of him in a moment of inattention which brought
about a blood nose much to our laughter. There were two vehicles which was just as well as
we had to pull one out of a river bed and every bush has thorns on it, leading to
punctures which you fix on the spot. It made for a real adventure sleeping out under the
stars with Hyenas circling the camp as we (tried) to sleep.
Well our love to you all and we will see you all in turn as we continue
to make our way around the globe.
Oh, and some of you will laugh ( Rachel has always thought that God
might want her to go to Mongolia) and it looks as if we might go as we met a man here in
Dodoma who is setting up a mission there and has invited us to come visit. There is a
train that goes from Peking for $200 and we will be there in Sept- Oct of this year HA HA!
Rachel's greatest fear may yet come true! |
