Tanzania 4

We are leaving Tanzania just over a week early at this stage. We have seen what we want to see and done what we want to do, also I think William and Meryl are a bit stressed and need some space as they set up house in Dar es Salam. They leave next week and this week is full for them going to see people for goodbye dinners. They are having a goodbye party this Saturday for their MAF and Expatriate friends. Lyndon is going to help with lots of the food prep so that should he take some of the stress off Meryl. I hope to help her pack a bit too, although it is hard with Zoe always getting into everything. Zoe didn't have maleria, I have prayed and prayed that she won't get it and will continue to do so. She is fine now.

Market

Our time in Africa was great it was good to stay there and see what living is like for William and Meryl. They were pretty busy with saying good-byes and packing while we were there and William got sick with malaria at the end, so it was a stressful time for them.

There place in Dar is nice and roomy. It is a lot more isolated from other people though. They now have there own property with fence gates etc like NZ in a way.In Dodoma they were on a compound with lots of other families around, each family had there own separate wee garden area but it was like a village - great for all the kids to play together.

We spent a week in Zanzibar, a few days in the Stone Town where we went on a spice tour and another couple of days further up the island staying on the beach where we went snorkeling. We met other tourists during this time and enjoyed playing cards in the evenings and generally socializing with people doing the same thing as us. Dar and Zanzibar are a lot hotter than Dodoma and now in Holland it is supposed to be the middle of summer but most days we'll be in longs with a cardigan - cold!
