Upate: I had to remove the full-size pictures to make way for other things,
so most of these links are now broken, sorry about that. They're getting
a bit out of date now anyway.
A shield is attached to the motor to keep out anything that might be flung
up by the rear wheel - especially water. We're planning to go out for a test
run today, weather permitting.
Some instrumentation appears. The ammeter is mounted on the rail that
supports the steering column.
The weather holds, and we trailer the car down to the nearest park.
Piers climbs into the driver's seat for the first real test ride, and
we all take pictures while the neighbourhood kids look on, fascinated.
The first lap is a gentle one, to make sure everything is working as it
should. Then Roy, Ray and Darryl take their turns.
