December 2006. Drive plantings

My husband Nick and I live on two acres about 14 kms from a small town in New Zealand. We planted native trees of NZ. Just 6 years ago nothing but grass grew, but now we have many birds including native Bellbirds visiting our trees and hope they will eventually nest.

We keep a few hens for their eggs. Our hens live well, being free range during the day and at night have the security of a comfortable hen house with perches and nest boxes in which to lay eggs.
