The creative book of kites by Sarah Kent The creative book of kites A very good book to introduce a novice to kites and kite flying. Contains plans for various basic single liners, a stunt delta and a stunt foil.
Kites by Wayne Hoskins Kites Another good introduction, very good info on kites, festivals and competitive flying.
Kites - Paper wings over Japan Kites - Paper wings over Japan A very good volume on kite history and it's early beginnings in Japan. Wonderfull pictures!
Making and Flying Stunt Kites & one-liners by Wolfgang Schimmelpfennig Making and flying Stunt Kites A few more advanced Stunt kites and single liners.
Stunt Kites "to make and fly" by Nop Veldhuizen Stunt Kites This was the book that got me started. A very good resource and must buy!
Stunt Kites II "buggies and boats" by Nop Veldhuizen Stunt Kites II A sequal to the above for the more advanced kite designer and builder. Also contains in-depth descriptions and theory on foil aerodynamics. Another must buy!
Theory of wing sections Theory of wing sections Not for the faint hearted. Containing info on most NACA and some CLARK profiles but most importantly describes the physics of high performance aerodynamics.
