White LED bike lamp

  • Materials used

  • $1 plastic encapsulation box with a window cut in it
  • Aluminium spray paint
  • Thin aluminium (cardboard or paper would do) sprayed with paint
  • Facetted plastic (offcut from a busted shower screen)
  • Perspex strip bent with hot air gun or hair dryer
  • White LED + 330 ohm resistor for 6V operation
  • Silicone sealer (or any other flexible glue, like PVC cement) to attach window
  • About 30 minutes total time to make
