MDDS Technologies Ltd was founded by Technology Development Trust New Zealand on 6th of December 1999.
The main goal for this new company is to develop further the theory of completely new, fully open architecture of digital data processing, which is now proven to work also in practice.

Our 1st generation prototype (pictured below) is just one application from the whole theory, so this first product will be the starting point for us, but we are currently focusing on this particular application at this stage, to make it ready for markets, before we start developing any other products based on MDDS-theory.  This product is for fast Internet connections over the existing phonelines.

Here they are - the fastest modems in the World!

The diagram below indicates test results already reached at our laboratory.

Speed Table

And then same in Figures:

Description
Data Rate
Distance Limit
Application
G.Lite
"Splitterless" ADSL without the "truck roll"
Up to 1.5 Mbps downstream, up to 512 Kbps upstream
18,000 feet
(5.5 Km) on 24 gauge wire
Similar to ADSL; sacrifices speed for not having to install a splitter at the user's home or business
ADSL
Asymmetric Digital Subscriber Line
Up to 10 Mbps downstream;
Up to 768 Kbps upstream
18,000 feet
(5.5 Km) on 24 gauge wire
Used for Internet and Web access, motion video, video on demand, remote LAN access
VDSL
Very high Digital Subscriber Line
Up to 26 Mbps downstream;
Up to 3 Mbps upstream
4,500 feet
(1,4 Km) on 24 gauge wire
ATM networks;
Fiber to the Neighborhood
MDDS
(current 1st generation Proto)
Multilevel Digital Dataprocessing System with extreme compressed "FlatHead"-signal
160 Mbps downstream, soon bidirectional.
4,900 feet
(1,5 Km) on 24 gauge wire at the moment – will improve!
This New Technology provides a very clear, readable signal.
Can be Integrated into DSL to offer higher speed and distances 10-15km (2nd generation).
