The ICYE Federation

International Cultural Youth Exchange (I.C.Y.E) was formed in 1949 (As International Christian Youth Exchange),
when a group of young Germans ventured to the United States, in an effort to understand other cultures and countries.

Today, ICYE is a large international federation of individual ICYE National Committees.

These individual committees cover all parts of the globe: Europe, Asia, The Pacific, The Americas and Africa.

In 50 years, the aim of ICYE hasn't changed: Fostering understanding of differences throughout the world,
through young people participating in an international exchange programme.
