What do I do

By profession I am a forester with qualifications from

Waiariki polytech School of Forestry (Rotorua New Zealand)

and Lincoln University . (Near Christchurch New Zealand)

I work in Product Development at the Wool Research Organisation of New Zealand

and part time in forest and horticultural consulting

What am I interested in ?

• Developing Excel spreadsheet application
• Large Helicopters and helicopter logging
• The prudent use of natural resources.
• Trout and salmon fishing.
• Recreational Hunting  in New Zealand
• Collecting and growing a range or interesting NZ and Australian native trees and plants
• Tree breeding
• High Quality Hardwood forestry
• Farm Forestry

What have I done

• I have been involved in both the forest and horticultural industry

• I have a small tree nursery in which I grow a range of interesting trees and plants

• I have spent 3 years Helicopter logging both in New Zealand and in Sarawak (Borneo)

• previously I was involved in forest inventory and cable logging  for 5 years mostly on the West Coast of the South Island of New Zealand
