"AIHE" Night Heron Greenland Deck Version

As of 10 January 2004

Launch Day !

The toggle attaches directly to the parameter line via a bungee threaded through a webbing loop deck fitting. Time will tell if it will last the distance. The seat is carved from closed cell foam and the backband made from foam covered ply with a canvas covering.

At only 15kgs it is no problem carrying down the beach at low tide.

With an ocean cockpit it is a much tighter fit then the WR180!

This is the stage I started to worry if it will sink :)

It floats !!!!

To compare kayaks to vehicles: the WR180 is a van, this one is a sleek sports car! Fast and very maneuverable.

Dawn trying it out for a roll - going down.......

....... and up again.

I considered it sacrilege that she used a plastic paddle, so she had to gave the GP a go.

Thanks to Nick from Guillemot Kayaks for a fantastic design.
