At present, the impact of E. auguliger on the epicacti hybrids is, I guess, about nothing.

E. cooperii. High influence on hybrids.
Night perfumed

E. crenatum. High impact on hybrids.
Night perfumed

Disocactus macranthus is beginning to have an increasing impact
day perfumed

Heliocereus specosus has had a major impact because of colour.
Disocactus specosus - this spiny plant...

Nopalxochia phyllanthoides was crossed with H. speciosus
- the first Epicactus hybrid and not an Epiphyllum in sight!
Disocactus phyllanthoides is now considered it's name.

Aporocactus flagelliformis...has been used to create 'Aporophyllums' - Now called epicacti.
Disocactus flagelliformis the current name of this species.

Other Disocactus species have been used to add to the range of hybrids,
but few of these are available in New Zealand.
