FIRESAFE FSP14A.
Is a liquid formula which enables cement to be combined with raw fiberglass chopped strand mat,to form a laminated coating.
When the two products are combined they can be
engineered to provide a low cost universal fire retardant and water resistant coating.
The fire rating is dependent on the number of coats you apply.
Our product is the liquid that provides the necessary chemical stabilization of the cement/fiberglass membrane mix.
Without FSP14A the combination of cement and fiberglass will disintegrate after a very short time.
This is why this very versatile product has not been used before. However With the FSP14A it enables the construction of a laminated coating. A strong durable fireproof and weatherproof membrane that can be applied over existing structures. This enables almost any structure to be coated in a single uniform coating with no hardware jointing. The coating can also be used in molds to produce fire resistant articles.
FSP14A COATINGS have a service history of over 20 years
the FSP14A additive can only be supplied by firesafe products
in Australia and New Zealand.
This product has excellent properties for coating polystyrene foam to form laminated foam walls. A weather coating on the outside, a fire shield on the inside.
This coating can withstand temperatures exceeding 1200C.
for over 30 minutes
Londonderry Occupational Center have tested FSP14A coating using an oxygen cone calorimeter according to ASTME 1354-92 method.
Further testing has been carried out to the following:

Replacing or coating fiberglass engine covers
Fires in mobile plants threaten life, property and business continuity . Ordinary combustibles or flammable liquids can be ignited by the engine, turbo charger, exhaust manifold or electrical components. A burst hydraulic line or faulty fitting can provide a continuous spray of burning hydraulic fluid, rapidly involving the entire vehicle in fire. Fires have been known to destroy engine covers, which can endanger the life of the machine operator, hampering safe egress from the machine or exposing them to toxic fumes. A FSP14A coating will help in containing the fire, giving that vital time needed to make a safe escape.
these engine covers are coated in Australia
