and adopted two of Judy's kittens this past year. We are thrilled with
our "in your face" kittens and they are special members of our family.
Judy kept us informed from the moment we choose our kittens (the first
week they were born) until they were sent to us. We received numerous pictures,
and funny stories of their antics on a regular basis. We were pleased with
Judy's attention to their health and wellbeing. They were loved members
of her family before they came to us. She was most concerned about their
long trip to Hawaii, and took care of many of the details of their travel
for us. We would highly recommend Wisecracks Cattery to anyone that wants
well socialized, much loved, and healthy devon rex kittens. Judy is a gem
to deal with.

They brighten the dullest day, they make you laugh out loud, they follow you and care for you and fetch for you like a dog! They are so much fun, so inquisitive and personable. Im amazed at their breed and how different they are from other felines. Have you ever heard a cat 'tweet'? These fellas do - kind of a purr and a tweet together, like they are chatting away to you. Amazing! I couldn't live without them now and with the tender loving care of their breeder Judy and all her before and after contact and advise and continued love for her devons you've always got a close connection & bond that grows with each and every litter. Chantelle Chapman | 5 | Judy is an amazing person and has a huge heart. She gives so much much love towards her breeding program and her little devons. We had a tragedy with our first little devon who passed away not that long ago. He left such an impression on us we had to have another to fill his void. We now have Paddy who is 14 weeks old. He is such a delight, fill of personality, fun and character. He loves company and would follow you around all day if he could - he even finds the dishes fun to do by watching on your shoulder, or loves climbing up the shower curtain while you wash your hair. They are such spontaneous animals that really think they are humans. Speacial speacial beings!! |

rex (Taylor) and a devon rex variant (Alec. Both are full of character
and very loving. Taylor loves to have a conversation, help make the bed
and always snuggles up to one of kids at night. Alec lets the kids tie
him up in all kinds of knots and never complains. I would thoroughly recommend
Judy as a breeder. She is very open and honest about all her cats, keeping
the extended family informed of all the ups and downs and is very clearly
devoted to all her cats and her breeding program. The kittens arrive well
adjusted and ready to face the world.

After looking at her website, and those of other breeders, I was certain a Wisecracks Devon was the one for me. I booked my Devon before he was even conceived and was overjoyed to have updated pics of him every few days. He is an amazing animal and my life would be empty without him. Judy was kind enough to let me and my partner visit while we were in the North Island, and we got to meet her, her family (fur and human), and our wee Devon. It was all a wonderful experience and I would highly recommend Judy to anyone wanting a Devon. |

She is very open to help when there are health issues, one bubby got a rash and she did all she could to help me find a solution. She informs us of both the good and the bad which is helpful when you love a pet to bits but there may be some lurking issue. She continues to take a real interest in the cats right through their life. It really is an extended family. |

Keren Gundersen | 5 | There is simply not enough praise, or a recommendation high enough to accredit Judy with all that she deserves! Her family home is a absolute haven for the darling Devon Rex and Devon Rex Variants that she has living with her, and that she brings into the world. Judy gives her Devons absolutely everything, so that they are given every opportunity to come into the world and to continue through their lives as happy, healthy, and absolutely cherished darlings. It often means a LOT of extra work, and sleepless nights etc, but Judy is happy to go beyond her duty as a breeder, as every single Devon has a place in her heart! As an owner of my 2nd Devon Variant, both from Judy (Our first baby died after a car accident shortly before his 1st birthday), I can honestly say, I would never consider using another breeder, or in adopting any other breed of cat! Judy made the extra effort to help pick a kitten who's personality would best fit our home, and has kept us informed constantly on his progress, welcomed us into her home to visit him, and gave us a fabulous CD with details of his ancestory. We still recieve regualar emails, and still maintain phone contact, as Judy loves to hear updates on how our baby is doing. Judy knows ever single one of her babies, and astounds me with her amazing ability to tell you this and that about any one of them. Our wee man is the most adorable, precious, and clever little darling (equal of course to our dear deceased Taffy) and I could go on for hours with examples of his wonderful and clever nature. My daughters and I are so grateful to Judy for the pleasure of Kapiche, and are happy to tell the world that she is the absolute BEST!!! |

Veronica Linfoot | 5 | I adopted Zara (Stay Plurr) from Judy in May of 2007. I went to 'just visit' but after much consideration ended up bringing Zara home. Zara has proven to be a clever and loving wee girl and the best thing that has happened to me - and to a lot of other people too as she has become a part of the Auckland SPCA Outreach Pet Therapy Program. This means that we go and visit people in rest homes and the local mental health unit. Often our visit is the only one people get so we are always greatly received and Zara just loves all the attention and showing off her tricks - she begs and comes to the sound of a clicker - but as per a typical devon, only does these when she feels like it! Judy has been the most supporting and honest breeder I have come accross. I would recommend her to anyone looking to get a devon. She has always been willing to give advice if I have been worried about something and is always glad to hear of Zara's progress. I would never go anywhere else if I decided to get another cat in the future. |

He won over his 9 year old 10.3kg ginger moggie step brother Dipsy within a few weeks, something I thought would never happen and they now hangout and sleep together!! He has also made friends with most of the neighbours and regularly invites himself into their houses for a visit.
