Timeshare resales in New Zealand

This is a service for buyers and sellers of timeshares at two of the most popular RCI  and  Dial-an-Exchange resorts in the North Island of New Zealand.

RCI Gold Crown Resort Sun Pacific Villas, Mt Maunganui,

RCI Resort Okawa Bay Lake Resort, Lake Rotoiti, Rotorua.

Resales are a very cost effective way of acquiring timeshares as they are at a true market value and not at developer prices where you are paying for expensive marketing programmes and gift schemes. Check out the pure facts here with no hype or pressure, or half-truths , and then make the dream of luxury holidays in your very own apartment at a world class resort a reality.

For information on the buying and selling of resorts other than those above we recommend you check out www.timeshare.co.nz
This company is very experienced in timeshare in New Zealand and Australia and we work together servicing the resales market of the area.

Some of the things people like about timeshare

Luxury holidays at a fraction of the usual cost

"Paid for" holidays which leaves cash in the pocket for holiday spending instead of accommodation

"Compulsory" holidays push one into actually taking holidays

The week of timeshare means a holiday rather than a break of just a couple of days

A fully set up holiday home...microwave, laundry, dishwasher

A real holiday for Mums - the "mod-cons" are not left at home

"Walk-in, walk-out" holidays, not like baches to open up and close up, and worry about the rest of the year

No security worries, no maintenance or lawns to mow

Friends or family can use your timeshare if you wish

No per head charges - units can sleep up to 6 or 7, or up to 4

Flexibility with floating time, or certainty with fixed weeks

Variety in holidays through the international exchange system

Really cheap overseas accommodation by exchanging

Accumulate holidays for several years with the exchange

Rent out your holiday for profit

Sell, will or gift your timeshare

The Timeshare Exchange Systems

Dial an Exchange is based in Queensland and has an office at Taupo, and deals in Australia and New Zealand timeshares with a very broad coverage.  It works like RCI Weeks system described below.

We recommend this exchange as being very effective in achieving requests.

They also offer exchanges into Europe, USA and elsewhere from their offices in the UK and USA. They do exchanges into Canada, USA, South Africa, Malaysia and Thailand, and we suggest you contact them direct for full details.

Their exchange fee is only $120 to Australia, New Zealand and Fiji, and $165 to all other destinations.

Dial-an-Exchange has no membership fee or joining fee.

Dial-an-Exchange offers Bonus Weeks as extra holidays,   $110  - $475 per week total, no deposit required.

Another benefit is that your banking saves for 3 years if you wish. Your deposit is not required until your exchange is confirmed .
Dial-an-Exchange also offer an optional Cancellation Protection Option for $10,
so if a booking is cancelled you do not loose the week you have banked or the exchange fee.

Dial-an-Exchange,  PO Box 1225, Taupo,  07 378 8825,  0800 323548 tollfree in NZ.

R.C.I.

A full description of how the exchange works is in your Australasian Directory book, however we give you here a brief outline of the main points of the system.

The system can be likened to a banking system with deposit and withdrawal facilities.
To make an exchange deposit into the "R.C.I. Spacebank", you contact your Resort Manager, who will allocate you a booking for a "week" which you can then "Bank" with R.C.I.  The Resort office can "bank" for you, if you wish.
Your spacebank deposit gives you a "credit" in the bank which is good for 2 years forward or 1 year back. (i.e. a 2003 holiday can be drawn against in 2002).
Your credit is not dependent on someone using your deposited time.
Having made your deposit, you may request a holiday at any of the 3800 resorts in 60 countries worldwide, at any time of the year, regardless of the time of the year you own in, or the particular week you banked.
There are 20 resorts in N Z, 55 in Australia, and 5 in Fiji.

Requests may be lodged from 2 years ahead, to as little as 2 days before you wish to holiday, but obviously the earlier the better.  R.C.I. do the rest for you and confirm your request as soon as your choices are available in the spacebank.

R.C.I. is basically a club and has an annual membership fee ($95, or $57p/a with 5yr deal ).
When an exchange is requested, R.C.I. charge an administration fee for processing your request.
This is (per week exchanged) - $129  for New Zealand, $139 for Australia and Fiji  - $249  for Worldwide exchanges
There are no accommodation charges or adjustments at all.
Your R.C.I. membership provides you automatically each new edition of the Australasian Directory, a quarterly copy of "Endless Vacation" magazine which is loaded with articles on holiday destinations and travel information, and other R.C.I. services and bonuses.

R.C.I.'s address is-  PO Box 11561, Onehunga, Auckland.  Ph 0800 36 8800  Fax 0800 183 635

“RCI Points” is a new system just introduced by RCI, which really rewards owners of top resorts, with 2 weeks for 1 in a lot of cases and also the ability to trade “Points” for rental cars – hotels – flights and more!  RCI Points suits owners doing a lot of exchanging, those only doing occasional exchanges are best with RCI Weeks system.

Call 0800 569476 for full “RCI Points” details.
